hey guys - for those of you still coming to this site and curious why I haven't posted it's because I've moved!

I'm now using wordpress and soon all of my blogs will be seen under my website - www.howiekremer.com which will still be used via wordpress. I'm not sure how it all works, but a big thanks to Scott Bishop for helping me out with making all of this happen.

NASA, GPS Students, Airlines

This is true... Mark D. Moore, an aerospace engineer at NASA introduced the designs for an experimental, personal flying suit, called a Puffin.

This is a great news for development in travel, but bad news for Mark Moore because if this doesn't get him laid nothing will.

A Texas judge has ruled that kids who continually skip school will be forced to use a GPS system to monitor them during school days. The judge also ruled that students caught doing drugs will be sentenced to one week, 24/7 accompaniment by Corey Haim and Cory Feldman.

Thursday the National Transportation Saftey Board recommended that airline cockpits, which are already equipped with voice recorders, also have cameras. Said one pilot, "As long as they don't install a breathalyser I don't care what they do put in there."

America's Youth, CA Legislatures and The Taliban

According to a new study from the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average American youth 8-18 years old, spends practically every waking minute outside of school using a smart phone, computer, iPod or other electronic device. The L.A. times is reporting at least 26 California state legislators have admitted they failed to report accepting gifts from lobbying groups. In his defense, a legislature from Humbolt County, marijuana capital of North America said, "Man, if the gifts I got were legal... man... I'd for sure... wait... what were we talking about?"

It's being reported that the Taliban is overhauling their image in an attempt to win over allies and their people in hopes for a larger army. An example of the new look Taliban is things such as suicide bombings and taking photographs of executed prisoners are now forbidden. Yeah, if you take advantage of their special offer now and join today, the Taliban will throw in a free alarm clock that also acts as a suicide bomb!

A lot going on in the news this week. Of course, our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Haiti and the relief efforts going on over there. The Conan O'Brien and NBC/Jay Leno saga continue. The Golden Globes and NFL playoffs were all this past weekend and the Senate race in Massachusetts is nearing an end. Yeah, in a motel room in Vegas somewhere, Tiger Woods is thankful the media forgot about all those women he banged.

It's been reported that a 42-year-old Taiwanese died of a stroke eleven days after he saw the blockbuster movie "Avatar" in 3D. Doctors said his death was likely triggered by over-excitement from the movie. Said one Avatar fan, "Ain't no sex, like a Na'vi sex, cuz a Na'vi sex don't stop.

NBC, Obama, Chicago Cubs

It was raining as the stars strutted down the red carpet for the Golden Globes Sunday night. During an interview, Tina Fey claimed, "God was crying for NBC." After the Golden Globes were over, god clarified, "Uh, that wasn't rain."

President Obama traveled to Massachusetts Sunday in a last ditch effort to rescue democrat candidate Martha Coakley in her election for the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy's Senate seat. Obama implored Massachusetts to, "Understand what's at stake here..." and "It's whether we're going forwards or backwards.” When he realized that wasn't working, he promised them quote, "Come on, free health care, money for schools, like a million-billion jobs and a bunch of other stuff."

This past weekend the Chicago Cubs hosted their annual Cubs Convention in which the organization tries to bring hope to a long-suffering fan base, with promises of a World Series which would break the longest sports drought in North America. In a related story, new Cubs owner Tom Ricketts, who is originally from Nebraska is reported to have just moved to Chicago from under his family's three bedroom rock in Nebraska.

John A. Gotti, McGwire and the T.S.A.

After four trials, five years of effort and untold amounts of money, the federal government has given up on putting John A. Gotti in prison. This just in... Scores, the upscale strip club in Manhattan, has just been robbed, leaving four employees and one stripper dead.

On Monday, Mark McGwire came clean and admitted to using steroids throughout his baseball career. However, he maintains they did NOT help him hit home runs. In an unrelated story, Gary the Compton Crack-head was acquitted in court today when he admitted to using crack, but swears it did NOT help him beat that girl.

The T.S.A. is under extreme scrutiny right now, not only because of last month’s bombing attempt in Detroit, but the fact that on the T.S.A.'s Watch List is 8-year-old, Cub Scout from Clifton, N.J., Mickey Hicks. As a public service, I pulled a couple of strings and found out some of the other names of terrorists on the T.S.A. Watch List:

Palin, Taco Bell and Late Night

It's reported that Sara Palin will join Fox news as an anchor. I guess it's true; you really CAN do ANYTHING if you put your mind to it... or Fox News is just dying for ratings.

Taco Bell is pushing their "Fresco Menu" because they claim eating off it can help people lose weight. What they're not telling you is the ten pounds you'll lose will be when your forced to have your large intestine removed.

It's official... Jay Leno is moving back to his old late night spot which has recently been taken over by Conan O'Brien. In a related story, NBC has given up.
